Maybe it’s the sea air, maybe it’s the unbeatable scenery or maybe Seattleites are just chronically outdoorsy—whatever the reason we’re crazy about cycling. When the sun is out there’s no better way to experience our beautiful city than via our Pineapple Cruisers! And as a guest of University Inn, you’ll enjoy complimentary use of our bicycles with no time (or fun) limits so you can personalize your own Seattle tour. Bikes are available at the front desk and come with locks and helmets.
From the hotel it’s just a short ride to UW's campus—cruise around the beautiful grounds, then hit the Ave for shopping and refreshments.
To get away from hustle and bustle we suggest a ride along the Burke-Gilman Trail, a paved 27-mile multi-use recreational path. You can pick it up near campus and either head west toward Gas Works Park and the Ballard Locks or east (and eventually north) up the shores of Lake Washington. The Burke-Gilman winds it’s way through some of Seattle’s prettiest neighborhoods and wooded areas. It’s a beautiful ride. Check out the route here. Then check out a bike and saddle up. On your left!
